The university period often coincides with major physical and psychological upheaval. Students have numerous questions about sexual attraction, gender, sexual orientation, and romantic relationships.
People who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex or asexual (LGBTQIA+) – or questioning their identity – are more likely than others to struggle with the fear of disappointing their families and/or family breakdowns.
They are also more often the target of harassment, assault or discrimination.
This is why the Université de Lyon ComUE has put together a list of the most suitable organizations and schemes to assist you on your identity journey, answer your questions (both on a sexual and emotional level), and to support you during this highly vulnerable period.
