University Preventive Medicine

The University Preventive Medicine Service (MPU) is made up of a multidisciplinary team of medical, paramedical and social specialists (doctors, nurses, a social worker, two psychologists, a dietitian and two receptionists).

The MPU’s missions are:

- to inform, prevent and provide guidance on all things health related;
- to offer preventive medical and nursing consultations (+ vaccinations);
- to deliver medical certificates (fitness for sports competitions, etc.)
- to offer psychological support via consultations with a psychologist;
- to offer nutritional support via consultations with a dietitian;
- to receive students with disabilities (social assistance, special accommodations).

All within a framework of discretion and patient confidentiality.

Preventive actions (nutrition, sexual health, etc.) and workshops or training courses for students (prevention of stress and anxiety, first aid in mental health etc.) are set up over the course of the academic year.

Consultations take place on the St-Étienne and Roanne campuses (see section “Addresses and contacts”).
