The CROUS’ mission is to promote better living and working conditions for students in higher education.
The Crous de Lyon assists students in the Lyon academic district (Rhône, Loire and Ain) with their day-to-day life during their studies. The Crous’ mission is to improve living and studying conditions: scholarships, housing, catering, social aid, campus life, student jobs.

During your studies, you can access various support services, depending on your situation, whether or not you have a scholarship:

  • A social service, for professional support with your administrative formalities, to assess your situation, for referral to other professionals, for specific financial aid, etc.
    • Send an e-mail to: ssocial@crous-lyon.fr, indicating where you are enrolled, your course of study, the reason for your request, your telephone number and your certificate of enrollment for the current year. You will be contacted promptly; the social services department only sees people by appointment.
    • You can call 04 72 80 13 25 during call-desk hours: Tuesdays from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm and Thursdays from 9 am to noon
     
  • Specific financial aid depending on your situation – one-off (to deal with a serious unforeseen event during the academic year) or annual (equivalent to scholarships based on social criteria).
     
  • A program of events in Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Bourg-en-Bresse and Roanne, accessible to all students on student life themes (sport, culture, food, health, budget and so on). All dates and information are available on social networks @crouslyon and on the website https://www.crous-lyon.fr.
     
  • Free in-person consultations with psychologists in Crous university residences, provided by the Apsytude association. Information in your residence or on the website https://www.apsytude.com/.
     
  • The Pros-Consulte counseling service is available 24/7 on 0800 730 556 for all the students in the Lyon academic district (Rhône, Ain and Loire). Psychologists who speak French and other languages are available to listen to you in complete confidentiality.
